A Backyard Built for All Seasons
This project was more than a simple replacement — it was a total reimagining of how the space could be used. We removed an old, failing deck and built something that actually fit the way this family lives. The result? A screened-in porch and open deck combo that delivers year-round function without sacrificing warmth or style.
For the porch, we installed tongue-and-groove C-Select boards — not just for their natural look and feel, but to eliminate floor gaps and keep bugs out. It’s all the charm of wood, with the performance you need in a high-traffic outdoor space. Overhead, a custom two-tone ceiling finish gives the space a finished, cozy look. Recessed lighting and Infratech heaters were added to keep the porch comfortable even as the seasons shift.
The adjacent open deck is finished in Trex Transcend Havana Gold — a rich, low-maintenance composite that holds up to weather and wear without compromising appearance.
Every decision was about blending comfort, usability, and visual appeal — and making sure this backyard is ready for everything from quiet mornings to weekend gatherings.
